Eagar's of Ballymalis and Killarney

My grandfather Edmond Eager/Eagar lived in Killarney and was born in Bandon, Co. Cork.
His father's name was also Edmond and he was born in
Killarney in 1864 (he was christened in Kilcummin Parish, Co.
Kerry). Edmond's wife, Susan Murphy, was from Lough, Co. Cork.

Edmond's parents were John Eagar and Elizabeth "Bess" Fleming. John
was from Ballymalis and Bess was from Kilcummin. In addition to my
great-grandfather, John and Bess had three other sons, Roland (born in
1867), James (born in 1865)and John (christened in 1871 in a Roman Catholic church in Killarney)

From my research, I've learned that Ballymalis was the place of
origin for many Eagers. I hope this might sound familiar to
someone. If so, please let me know.
