Sorry I haven't replied earlier to your post.
Robert Hanan (1847-1931) and Elizabeth Eager (1852-1952) were my great, great grandparents: their daughter Jane married Ephraim Morrow from Donegal, whose son, William John, was my maternal grandfather.
All the info I have on the Hanans is courtesy of my mother's 2nd cousin, Robert Thompson, whom I met on this messageboard!
Robert Hanan was the son of William Hanan (1827-1882) who was the son of Daniel Hanan (1785-1864). Robert Hanan was in the Royal Irish Constabulary in Cork from 1867 and I believe he and Elizabeth were married in 1875 in Co. Wexford (record I found online, however I am not 100% sure). As you see, most of my onfo is about the Hanans, so if you have anyhting to add about the Eager side, I would be grateful.
Which of Robert and Elizabeth's children are you descended from (John/William/Jane/Robert/William/James)?
Are you living in Ireland/UK/elsewhere in the world?
