My connection to Eagers is through Ada May Johnson b. 1870 place unk. maybe IA d/o William Warren Johnson a descendant of Rachel Pratt Viall Johnson (grandson, I believe, not looking at my FTM) who lived and died in Edwards, SLC, NY right next door to Lewis Co., who married a Charles Iaeger (Eager?) no further info on Charles Iaeger/Eager and Ada May Johnson Iaeger/Eager.
I have a Charles Iaeger (Eager?) who married Ada May Johnson b. 1870 d/o William Warren & Caroline Harris Johnson. William Warren Johnson was descended from Rachel Pratt Viall Johnson and her second husband Charles Alvah Johnson from neighboring St. Lawrence Co., NY. William Warren Johnson b. 1847 on the Oregon Trail, Platte River Neb. Many of my lines ended up in MI. Just wonder if there is some connection? My notes spell Charles name Iaeger but that "I" may have been an "E" at one time.

Hi Geo,
I have not learned anything more on William Eager, so do not know if there is a link to Lafaette Eager. I may get to Lewis County next summer to do some digging at the Historical Society and the Court House. So maybe eventually will come up with more clues. Will add your email to my files. Thanks.

Thanks Edna
Yes I found Reginald Eager. He died here in Vancouver Canada where I am, coinsidently in 1912,I don't know what he was doing here, although I was told he lived in Seattle and he was a sailor of some sort. I obtained his death cert.with his parents names on it and he was buried in Los Angeles where his parents lived. His daughter Florence was apparently born in Seattle 2 yrs before he died and all she knew was that after his death his wife Isabel nee Joyce took her back to Kingston, Ontario, where she was from and where she had met and married Reginald.I was contacted by Doris in Califonia and was given family reports going back to Ireland. I'm wondering if you know any more than I do Edna?
Cathy
