I am looking for information on James S. Eagle who passed away April 20, 1918 in Howards Quarter area in Sneedville, TN. James had a son named Clarence Eagle but I am not sure if Nancy Johnson was his mother. James was married to Nancy Johnson and had Ethel, Cora, and Dovey "who passed after living only a few hours in the year 1913." James would be my great-great grandpa and I would like to know more about him and who his parents were. If you have any information please contact me.

i don't much about the eagle family. but have and eat with eddy. hope u find more info on your search. i know a margret chegahno who was the daughter of levi chegahno of cape croker who married in shawanga. i did work in group home with a young man named eddy eagle jr and met eddy eagle u indicated.if it is the same margret chegahno i know i have a lot of info on the rest of her family. and am working on a gathering of the decendences of Levi Chegahno, this may be a good place to find out more if you are interested

MEDIAPOLIS, Iowa - Michael William Eagle, 45, Mediapolis, formerly of Wapello and Muscatine, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at the Great River Medical Center at West Burlington.

Service will be at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Reverend Dan Doolin will officiate. Burial will be at the Wapello Cemetery.

Mike was born on April 8, 1964, in Muscatine, the son of William and Margaret Beverlin Eagle.

He graduated from Louisa-Muscatine High School, rural Letts. He worked in concrete construction with Wilson Concrete of Burlington. He was of the Baptist faith.

He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, boating, and the family gatherings where they enjoyed playing cards.
His dog, Buddy and his many friends were important to him along with the annual canoe trips. He would do anything for anyone if he could help.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Sheryl Maish; two sons, Joshua and Angela Eagle of New Boston, Illinois, and Eric Eagle and Krista Beik of Wapello; five stepchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Jeff, Megan and Jared Maish; three grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; six sisters, Pam Schmeltzer of Chester, Virginia, Linda and William Allen of Fruitland, Sandra Ward of Grandin, Missouri, Tricia and Mike O’Toole of Letts, Sheila Eagle of Muscatine, and Misty Cates of Otisville, Michigan; five brothers, Terry and Madelyn Eagle, Thomas Eagle, Robert and Cyndi Eagle, Donald Holem, and Vernon and Patience Holem, all of Muscatine, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, George Holem.

This Edward died much too late. Mine was born btwn 1775/78 and died 1804. Married Malinda Foster. Not sure where your Edward fits in but Im sure he does.

I have a great grandmother, Nora EAGLE, married to Everett Clements TRUBEE. She is listed on the 1910 Census as 29 years old. I have found nothing on parents or siblings. It's my only brick wall for six generations. Anything?

I am a decendant of John W. Eagle from Nicholas, Clay WVA. I believe he might have been a brother to your George.

Enoch Sr. was his father.

Of particular interest to me is whether he served in the Civil War and any subsequent info therein. I have info that indicates that he served the Confederate side. I have had a hard time finding a link to a particular regiment although I beleive he was part of the 22nd Virginia. I have a listing for Charles and David in that unit as well (census records indicate they lived in the same household prior to the war and were probably brothers). I would also like any info on whether we have relatives that fought in the Revolution from this line.

my grandfathers name was eugene eagle, his father was apart of the karuk tribe as a full indian, my grandfather was only half but he left my mom's family. so my mom is a quarter but we did get a letter from the indian bureau of affairs saying that eugene eagle had died and in his will gave some money split between my mom's brothers and sisters.

hello, I am trying to find anything that I can on a Sonia Eagle, her mother was Gladys Eagle (Ilton), her father I have just can't remember right now, family say she got married and moved to the U.S.A. divorced and married a spanish man, and was a teacher in California. this is all I have, and could use some help, so if anyone out there can help, I will thank you now.

I had a Great Uncle Oscar Eagle, parents were James Phillip Eagle and May Counts Eagle. Siblings were Murtish, Cleoria, Irene, and Thomas. I have most birth dates. Let me know if this helped any.

Just out of curiosity, do you have proof that Timothy Eagle is the father of Edward Eagle? I would be very interested in sharing this with you, since Edward Eagle is my gggg-grandfather. I have been told that Edward is supposed to have been a full-blooded (Cherokee?) Indian and was adopted by a family of white people. Is Timothy Eagle the adopted father of Edward or natural father?
Any info would be appreciated.

I am the granddaughter of Inez Sheppard, Eagle & Walter Homer Eagle Sr. They had 2 sons Walter Homer Eagle Jr & Charles Curtis Eagle. Charles was my Uncle and he passed away in 1954. My Father is Walter he passed away 3-29-2006. My grandmother, Inez passed away 2-16-2002. She did marry a Walter Honaker. I have dates of her marriages and such.I just have to look them up. My father Walter homer Eagle Jr. married Leila Oneeda Ward and they have 7 children. I am the last of 7 children. Inez was born 3-5-1909. Who are you? My great grandmother was an Eagle. Her name was Mary Eagle Jones. Her brother James Phillip Eagle was a Civil War officer, Baptist preacher, and the Governor of Arkansas about 1oo yrs ago. Her father was also James Phillip Eagle who was born in Rowan NC and died in Austin Texas in 1863 (he fled Arkansas during Civil War). The family was in Maury County TN for less than a generation. They are descended from Marcus, Adam, and Phillip Eagle of Switzerland and Lancaster County PA.

Sharon Jenkins. My great grandmother was Margaret E. Eagle (Maggie) DOB 1853 who had two younger brothers William Darwin Eagle DOB 1856 and Robert E Eagle DOB 1858. Her parents were John Abraham Eagle DOB 1829 and Cornelia T Eagle DOB 1835. They lived in District 2 Greenbrier County VA in the 1860's. Maggie died in Buena Vista VA in about 1942. I was hunting the Indian Hetitage. Know of any of these people? Thanks

My great grandmothers name was Margaret (Maggie)E Eagle Jenkins. She had two brothers William Darwin Eagle who married Phobe Jane Davis and they had only 1 daughter before he died. The other brother was Robert E Eagle who married Victoria Pullen and they had only had 1 daughter. Maggie and the boys parents were John A Eagle and Cornilia T Eagle but and have not found any siblings yet. I am in AL and the history is in VA and I get my info from the Richmond Library. Thanks

My great Grandmother was Margaret E Eagle DOB Sept 1853 who had two younger brothers named William D Eagle DOB 1856 and Robert E Eagle DOB 1858 with their parents being John A Eagle DOB 1829 or 1831 and Cornelia Eagle DOB 1835. The boys were born in Rockbridge County, VA. I traced them back to District 51, Greenbrier VA in the 1850. if you have any information on John A Eagle with any more relatives in VA please let me know.
