I found out that my name was change from Eaglin to Eglian around the 1900's. I found out that John Eaglin was born in Virgina around 1760 and moved to Warsaw Kentucky a small town in Northern Kentucky. Good Luck.

I'm not sure this will get to you after eight years, but my grandmother was the first wife of Otto Klein Eaglin and the second wife of Theodore Nicholas Eaglin.

I believe Theodore is the younger of the men.

HI! Hope you are still on this website. Yes, I remember you being there and seeing Charles Frederick and Elizabeth Garnett and Schappo's pictures. Yes, I spent a lot of hours in Gallatin Co. and pretty well nailed down everything there. Just always looking for what others found in the family records. Cousin Connie, My dad wad Charles Eaglin, he passed away Feberuary 13th. His grandpa was Charles Fredrick. I may be going back to work in a few weeks, so I may not get to go this year to the reunion. I am sure you are a cousin. My sister lived in Aurora for about 18 months and we were so excited to have people pronouce our name correctly. I live In Terre Haute, In. My mother used to live in El Reno, OK. Do you go to the reunion in June? I plan to attend this year, maybe I will see you there!

My great-grandfather was the older brother of your grandfather. He had a son named Fredrick, who my father was named after. Who is your father? Cheri and Donna have provided me with some family charts for Charles descendants. I am still working on ours. My great-grandfather had 13 children. My grandfather was one of the younger children.

It's been over 3 years that I've posted a request for information on this site. I didn't receive that many answers. Hopefully I may this time.

My name is Kevin, originally from New Orleans, and am requesting any type of information relating to Eaglins and New Orleans or surrounding area. Not much is known about our family. My Grandfather (Name unknown) died when my father was young, and my Grandmother (Vera Bailey) never spoke of him too much. My Father's name is Daniel and he was born and raised in New Orleans.

As "my" family continues to grow, I would like to pass on a sense of history. If anyone knows of any information that would be of help to me.... please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I had a cousin named Bill Eaglin from Indiana who was the descendant of George W. Eaglin. George W. was the brother of my 2nd Great Grandfather Alfred Eaglin. I have plenty of information on this Eaglin line if you are interested.

I have just gotten back in to my research on the Eaglins. I have met with Cheri Land and the other Eaglin descendants in Aurora, Indiana. My great --great grandfather was William Melvin Eaglin. DO you have proof of Margaret Cayton's Indiana heritage? Cheri and her sisters provided me with a picture of her. My great-grandfather is William Joseph Eaglin and he left Carroll County in his late teens and headed to Indianapolis. He married Mary Bernhardt and they had 13 children. My grandfather was one of the younger sons.

Myron, I am the wife of your cousin, Donald Gary. He says that you called him "Gary" as most of his family did and still does. His grandfather, Theodore, was brother to your grandfather, Oliver. His father was Theodore Nicholas Eaglin and his mother was Ruth. They moved to Anderson in the early '40's, when Gary was 2 or 3 years old.
The common cousin you and Gary have online, is Ruthie, whom I've been talking to since the last of December. We have exchanged a lot of information, which, I believe, she has sent to you also.
I would appreciate it if you would share some information about your family: mother's name, brother's and sister's names, and birthdates, etc.
I have e-mailed Marilyn a couple times. We met Roy several years ago but haven't stayed in contact unfortunately.
Do you still live in the Madison area?

Dear Linda, I have only one name for you. James Eaglin's son, my grandfather's name, was Oliver Eaglin. Oliver was Sheriff of Jefferson County Indiana in 1940. His wifes name was Sarah Jane Eaglin. Hope this helps. Thanks Myron

Linda, I hope you are taking into consideration that the Kentucky counties were being formed rather rapidly out of other counties. Owen was one of the first counties formed and later parts of it became Gallatin and Boone.

Looking for information on grandmother ZELIA EAGLIN who married William Pleasant BROCK, they had 3 children, one son who suffocated in a grain elevator accident, one daughter who died of heart disease, and my father whom is still living. My grandmother was from Illinois and eventually moved to the Quad cities area in Iowa where she passed away in the early 1950's. Any information would be appreciated.

There has been so much work done on the Louisiana Eaglin line that someone should put the results on a free website. I would be glad to host it. It would be like a virtual family reunion.
