My father was Robert, born December 11, 1026. His dad was John Ward Eakin. Dad's twin was Raymond. Dad worked in the lumbar yard also. Told stories about riding the skids? down the hill behind the Belgian horses. Told us his Dad lost an arm with a saw when he was 16. There is a book by Skip Johnson called, I think, River on the Birch. Skip was given a lot of information from Ward Eakin that was very good, but told from only his father's side of the story.
