I'm the great granddaughter of Mary Elmira
'Dolly' Arp (1875-1934). Her father was Benjamin
Cornelius Arp (b1846 TN), her grandfather was
James Addison Arp (b.1825 TN) and her great
grandfather was Benjamin Arp of Madisonville,
TN. As I mentioned that name change tale was
just a tale I was told by my grandfather. I
can tell by the records that the name seem to
