Hello,

My name is Gailla Moser and I am looking for information on my grgrandmother Sally Eary Helms and her father Roan Eary.
First I guess I need to ask if they are from the same family as yours? They were from Izard County Arkansas around the Melbourne area. I have found much of the information there is on my grgrgrandfather Roan Eary but I get confused about who my grgrandmother's mother is. I know Roan was married twice once to Elizabeth and the other to J. Bell but I do not think either of these women are the mother to my grgrandmother Sally Eary. If you or anyone you know has specific information on this family please let me know.

Thank you.

I was thrilled to hear from you. My mother, who is still living at almost 88, is a first cousin of your friend. Their mothers were sisters. Are you referring to John or George? We have often wondered what happened to Judy, also. Could you send me your e-mail address. I can tell you a lot about the other cousins, etc.. Thank you for replying. Lorraine

James William Eary and Julia Mary Day were my great-grandparents. From what I can determine, James was born in 1864 in VA and Julia was born in 1876 also in VA. What do you have on these families? Can we share information? Thanks a lot.

This is in response to the question about Charles and Ora Eary. Charles W. Eary was born in Sep. of 1877 in Mt. Cove, WV. Ora Koonz was born abt. 1885. They were married 22 Jan 1908 in Fayette Co., WV. In my records I only have one son listed: Harley Othel Eary born in 1920. Ora's parents were Tinley and Nancy Koonz. Charles' parents were Abraham and Sarah Eary. I have more information on the Eary side and would be interested in any information on Charles and Ora's offspring. Hope this helps.

John Conrad

Laura,

Do you have any more information on the Anthony Eary who was married in 1860? I have an Anthony Eary (Airy) who was born about 1835 in Greenbrier Co. which would make him 25 in 1860. His father was Anthony Eary (Airy) and his mother was Nancy Holcomb. If this appears to be a fit please let me know and we can exchange information.

John Conrad

Is the Gauley Bridge you mentioned in WV? I couldn't find one in VA. My mother's family (EARY) was from that area in WV. In some of my records I have mentioned a "James" Eary. He was probably born between the late 1860's and early 1880's which could put him in the right age range. Unfortunately the references to him are vague (only his name). Do you have any other information about him which might help pin him down for both of us. I have a lot of information on that branch of the Eary's. Let me know if this helps. my EMAIL is jjconrad@pa.net
