I have almost completed the Eastaff Family Tree for the UK back to about 1750 and can now trace most family members back to this date. The family originates from the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertforshire area.
I am still trying to trace the ancestors of Thomas George William Eastaff (1773- 1851). He was educated at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich in 1793 and carried out the first ground survey of St John's, Newfoundland in 1805/6. He had a son William Grant Eastaff who was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and practised at one time in Carbonnear, Newfoundland. Can anyone help?
