William Beard and Sarah Easterling married in 1829 in Georgia

Anyone have any info on these people who married in Walton County.

Sarah Easterling is likely my great great great grandmother.

William Beard was her first husband who she married on Jan 20th, 1829 in Walton County, GA. I believe she later married my ancestor William K Smith on Jan 12th, 1834.

Therefore, I suspect she divorced William Beard or he died between 1829 and 1834.

Thanks,

Mickey
I haven't researched the Easterling's in quite awhile and haven't read the posts either, until today. Reeney Silas was my 3rd cousin. Silas Easterling b1813 was my GGGF. His daughter, Rebecca m Elijah Osborn, the line from which I descend. I have Nickells in my tree also as well as seven Bolin's. I don't have an Oscar Bolin or a Roy Nickells, however. I say "Hello" to a new cousin.
Al Benton, Illinois
No, I've been trying to go through cemetery records, but a lot of them on line either were never put online, or have been removed (lots of dead pages). I know Mary Melissa died early, I wonder if Samuel did as well, or if he moved on... can't tell. My great grandmother, Mary Agnes Blackwell and her brother were placed in an orphanage, so one could assume both parents died, but maybe not. I'll keep poking through all cemetery records in Georgia and South Carolina. Mary Agnes married James Jasper Gill and had my great grandmother Inabelle in Savannah.

I am curious to see if this is the same Samuel B. Blackwell that I am looking for. My ancestress Mary Melissa Pannel (first married to Claudian Northrop) was married second to a Samuel B. Blackwell. I found them in the 1870 census with her son from the first marriage living with them. Also there are the children from Samuels first marriage. I found him and first wife (initials M.R. in the 1860 census). Both census are from the Charleston Co., SC census.

It has been a few years since you posted your info ref the Easterling and related families. The Easterling Family Genealogical Society, Inc. would deeply appreciate any information you may have and share with us. For many decades our family here in the US has researched to find the country from which our FIRST ANCESTOR came. WEe do know that there was a John and a Henry who arrived in Maryland in the mid 1600's, but nothing on where they originated. Could you please share the info on what you have. Thanks,
Les Easterling

Llewellyn,

Celia was indeed, a sibling of James and Sarah. There were 11-children in their family.
James was the son of William Easterling and Elizabeth Covington, William was the oldest son of Rev. Henry Easterling...born in 1757, died ca 1838 or 1840. There is more info we have on this line and should you have access to THE EASTERLING FAMILY HISTORY, you can find the info in more detail than presented. You can also log on to the Easterling Family Genealogical Society...www.easterling.org and contact the Chairman of the Society..should you desire.

Hope this helps,

Les Easterling

Mary Rebecca Easterling married Samuel B. Blackwell in 1848

There had to be two Samuel B. Blackwell's. The Samuel B. Blackwell I am looking for was born 1820-1825 & married Mary Rebecca Easterling in 1848 in Williamsburg County, SC. It appears these people moved around like gypsies because Samuel.B. Blackwell's family was living in Georgetown District, SC in 1850 & Beaufort District, SC in 1860 & Charleston County, SC in 1870 & then Samuel.B. Blackwell & his wife seem to disappear but by 1880 their son named Samuel Addison Blackwell is living around Savannah, Georgia where he dies in 1896. After finding the Will of Michael Blackwell online earlier this month naming a son Samuel B. Blackwell I thought I had it figured it out but apparently not so. I hope I can be sent off in the right direction.
