I enjoyed reading the comment about the 3 Easterly brothers that came to America in the 1700's. I am a descentent of the brother, George.
Our records show:
per "The Palatine Immigrant" periodical, Vol XXVI #3, June 2001.
It lists Groege Oesterle and Conrad Oesterlen as arriving in Philadelphia, PA, on "September 30, 1743 - Forrigners imported in the ship 'Robert and Alice', Hartly Cussack, Commander, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes lists among the passengers Conrad Oesterlen and Georg Osterle".

1 April 1751, George Oesterle, Skippack (Montgomery Co)
16 Oct 1752, Skippack, Franconia Twshp, Philadelphia County (Now Montgomery), on the Branch of Perkiomen Creek," offers a plantation for sale".
George Married Magdaline Geyer and they had a son, Jacob, (now Easterly) born 1753,in Bucks County, PA
"15 June 1754 - George Easterly Estate probated Philadelphia, PA; Executors Mauldin (Magdaline?)Easter; his widow and Jacob* Easterly, his brother."
*This is the only mention of Conrad and Geroge's brother Jacob. Several search engine on the Internet have indicated that there were three brothers. This appears to back that information up. Also, brother Conrad had already departed for Virginia.
Sometime later the family moved to Ohio. Jacob had a son, Lawrence, who had a son, George, who moved to Kansas, by way of Iowa; who had a son Irvin, Irvin's daughter is my grandmother.
