Monroe resident David M. Eastland, 54, died May 14, surrounded by his family.
He loved the outdoors, animals, and, most of all, his family and friends. We will all miss his smile and great sense of humor. He is survived by his daughter, Emily; sisters Deb and Robin; his brothers Dan and Chris; and his mother, Royce Eastland.
A service will take place at 1 p.m. June 4 at Bellfountain Community Church, with a reception following.

A potluck service will be held at Jethro's Bar and Grill 4 p.m. Saturday for longtime Gardnerville resident David M. Eastland, 54, who died May 14, 2011, surrounded by his family.

Born March 23, 1957, he loved the outdoors, animals, his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter Emily, sisters Deb and Robin, his brothers Dan and Chris, and his mother Royce Eastland.
