Perhaps you could try to find Jane's death cert at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
I can't connect your Jane to my family, but it is not impossible that we're related because Alexander is a very common forename in my family. My Eastons come mostly from the counties of West Lothian and Stirling but have spread to Glasgow and Ayr as well.
