Hi ,
you may have all the info by now but Minnie Eathorne was the sister of my great grandfather Alexander, they were a family of 7 children and their parents were called John Eathorne and Charity Penaluna. They lived at Wendron nr Helston in Cornwall UK and were all in the mining trade. Minnie left for USA when her husband went to mine there. I have her date of Birth as 1869 but I may be out on that. The Eathorne family are still strong in Cornwall. I have recently moved to Scotland where I discovered to my suprise that a great great uncle moved to just 20 miles away from me in the late 1800's.
If this is relevant to your tree, I have a litle more info. just get in touch with me. sallysparkle2@hotmail.com
good luck with your search. would be nice to hear from you...especially if we are related down the line somewhere.
cheers, Sally.

I'm researching my family name of Dathorne. Was the Eathorne killed in the mine John, the accident in New Mexico in 1895? We saw the report in a newspaper that read as Dathorne. I checked the 1900 census for the US and it listed two Dathornes in PA: Veronika born 1825 and one other born 1891. Are they in fact Eathornes and related to John?

I would appreciate any information you may have. Thanks

Mike

Hello, my name is Charmaine, and my maiden name was Eathorne.I saw your item about Minnie and thought maybe there is a connection.I live in England, in the south west, in a county called Cornwall.I can trace back to my great grandfather, whose first name I don't know, but his surname was Eathorne and he came from a small hamlet actually called Eathorne, near a village called Constantine.this is close to a larger coastal town of Falmouth. My grandfather moved to a village called Fourlanes. His name was Alexander Penaluna Eathorne. If you need any other info please ask.

Hello Ron-

I tried your direct email address twice; it's not working. I'm researching EATHORNE in Pennsylvania - specifically Allegheny and Washington Counties. I don't have a "Minnie" but I do have a "Mary" born about 1873/4 that I lose track of after 1880 where she appears with her family on the census. Do you think Minnie Mary could be the same person? There aren't very many listings in the soundex for PA, surname EATHORNE. The next time I'm at the library I can check names for you to see if a Minnie appears with another family - unless you know she didn't immigrate here until after the 1880 census.
Jan McDowell in PA
