My gret-grandfather was Paul Wich born 1826, Bayern, Germany married a Catharina Raas or maybe her maiden name was miller from Hesse Darmstadt, Germany. Catharina's name is listed several ways in different places, but the date of birth and town are the same?
Paul possibly had a brother John.
Isn't Bayern near you? Could there possible be a connection?
