Kim, Sherry:
I believe I wrote to both of you back in 2001 and may have even sent the family tree that I have. My sister and I visited Connie Eberling back in 2001, and just missed seeing Judith that day. She was a year ahead of me in school, and we knew each other only slightly. I am a retired Air Force officer and in the Fall of 2001 came out of retirement for two years and served in Germany, where I found our ancestral home town and the Eberlings who still live there. They share our interest in family history and even made up a geneology chart showing how we are related. The town is Erfelden and is about thirty minutes south of Frankfurt. The first New City Eberlings were Henry and Barbara. They had eleven children, including Henry Jr., from whom I am descended, and John (Hannes), who was Joe Eberling Sr.'s father (There was also a son named Joseph, but he was not in your line). Do either of you live near New City or have relatives who are interested in what I have on the family? I have some fairly complete information, including formal portrait photos of Henry, Barbara, John, and others, and am putting what I have on CD-ROM so all who are interested can have copies. I will be visiting New City this week and next June 10-?? 2005 and would like to talk to anyone with any info on family history. I am also working with the New City Fire Department on their history, and it was largely fouded by our ancestors. I can be reached at
