LF information concerning ECHEVERRIA Y MADERA in Macana, Penuelas

looking for information on the family of Isidora (she may also be known as Maria-- though I am unsure) who was married to ALEJO ROSARIO in 1909.

I know she definitely had one son Juan Ramon ROSARIO Y ECHEVERRIA in 1911

There is possibly one other (though it's highly speculative).

In the 1920 Census her husband is listed as as a widow.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Ignatius was a brother to Mrs W T Potts (Victoria Gertrude Echeverria). She was married to my great grandfather's brother (William T Potts). Victoria died April 1, 1981 in Sacramento.
I have been looking for any surviving relatives of Victoria Echeverria or who remember her.

This is my mother you are looking for. Viola Pindter von Pindtershofen Knapp. She grew up in Vienna, married my father, Phillip Knapp after WWII and moved to USA.
Her father was Arpad and her grandfather's name was Victor.
She has documentation for the title.

Dear Jagnajera1,
recently I fpund your query for Karl Pindter in a Italian page. There is no great chance to find him in Milan. Meanwhile I found that he was Austrian military officer soon after 1832 and the military had their own parochial records. Most probably they are in the Austrian State Archive in Vienna. Karl is in the list of wounded personnel after the battle of Magenta 1859 and probably died the same year.Sorry, I dont have time to care for them very soon.
I am very interested in the descendants of Arpad Pindter in N.Y.

hi! I have just red it. i do not think we are related because i have some family from the echeverria part in mexino, but not in eeuu. my grandfather (who was echeverria both from father and from mother) had lived in mexico for many years during his childhood.
it is a very common surname. if you want to know anything else, just let me know.

Hola! Mi primer apellido es Echeverria, mi abuelo se apellidaba Echeverria Echeverria (es decir, por parte de madre y de padre). Ambos (mis bisabuelos) procedian de Elizondo, un pueblo situado en la frontera con Francia pero que pertenece a Navarra. Es un nombre de origen vasco, que predomina sobre todo en la zona que te he dicho (Navarra y Guipuzcoa, haciendo frontera con Francia) y significa literalmente La Casa Nueva (Etxe=casa, Berri=nueva, aunque las grafias del euskera no son algo establecido desde hace demasiado, de ahi las diferentes escrituras). Puede que te ayude saber que con el tiempo han existido variaciones de nuestro apellido: Etxeberria, Etxebarria (estas dos formas en la forma de grafia del euskera actual), Echevarria, Etcheverria (en su version francesa)...
Como curiosidad, te contare que mi abuelo vivio bastante tiempo en Mexico, y que incluso hizo la primera comunion alli, aunque por los nombres que has dado de tus abuelos, me temo que no tenemos ninguna relacion directa. Espero poder habete ayudado. Creo que ademas hay algun caserio con nuestro apellido (los caserios son las casas tipicas de campo del Pais Vasco).

Hi, I read the threads and information you exchanged with Fernando...I am his 2nd cousin, our grandfathers are brothers.
so I guess we are family...Know of some Pindtershofen's that live in New York, one an opera singer and the other I'm not sure they live here or in Vienna but i know was the founder of Austrian airlines. If you are in teh US, call me...we are related by not that many generations. I guess we are distant cousins.

Does anyone know of a Ramon Echeverria & Felipa Melendez Echeverria???My Great-great grandparents!!Felipa went missing from her children in 1921 in Los Angeles after being released from a mental hospital.
No one knows who she left with! She had 5 children who were seperated and placed with relatives to live. Their names were:Aniceto, Librada, Micaela, Manuel and Ruth.Her husband(Ramon)left to Mexico and took the youngest, Manuel, who later died at a young age.He came back to pick up his wife, but she was already gone. I'm very surprised with your message...
Betty is Beatriz in spanish. Echeverría is a common surname in Basque Country (Spain). Echeverría means new house in basque and it's origin is situated around the border between Spain (Guipuzcoa and Navarra districts) and France, specially in Baztan Valley.
My family originally comes from two little villages named Narbarte and Arizkun (Navarra- Spain).
