My great grand mother was Suzanne C. Eck( 1857-1932). She married Mathias Baier(1879). Both are buried at Immaculate Conception Church in Bastress, PA. Her mother was Frances Marie Dougherty, born Lancaster, Pa in 1834 and died 1898,Lycoming CO. Frances's parents were Daniel and Elizabeth Brandt. Suzanne's father is the one in question. He was either Augustus, Pharus Augustus or Joseph Augustus. I would like to know for certain his name. I have that it was Augustus: born 1825. Frances had 12 children. Suzanne was the eldest.
If his first name was Augustus he would then be the son of Joseph Eck (1797-1856)and Marie Bauer who had 13 children. Then would it be correct to assume that this Joseph is the son of Joseph Eck Born 1762 and wife Mary Agatha Hoffell(not sure about that spelling-Riffel) born 1765. Then the previous Joseph was the son of Joseph and Augusta Kissell who both born in Alsace in 1729. They arrived at the port of Philadelphia on August 18, 1750 on the Bennet Galley. Joseph and Augusta settled in the Churchville area of Berk's Co.
I am so confused! Can any one clear this up? I would appreciate all help!
