Katie A. Eckardt was born about 1857, the daughter of P Fredrick eckardt and Anna b. Eckardt. They lived in Hastings, MI. we are researching the "Winkler" family and the Bessmers & Eckardts are part of this family line.

I'm a descendant of their daughter Mary who married Sylvester Richmond in the Markham area. They moved to Grey County after a few years. They had 11 children.

Correction to my earlier contact. Greatgrandfather Reinhold Eckardt original immigrant from Germany, Reinhold (Fred/Fritz your grandfather who arrived in NY in 1925. Would also like to know if your grandfather had two sisters, Anna and Elsa.

I think we're onto a connection. It is very very possible that your greatgrandfather was the son of my Uncle Reinhold. I have learned that my uncle was a marble cutter/mason and died in 1969 in Glenside PA. His death certificate lists his wife as Laura Groeber (second wife).
We are still trying to find out what ever happened to his first wife Frieda (Koch) Eckardt. Does the dob of your ggrandfather match the date of 11/26/1914 for my cousin Frederich/Fred Eckardt? It is very possible that his given first name was Reinhold as I have this as his first name from relatives in Germany. Please e mail me directly so we can compare info. Hello! My name is Scott Eckardt. The man you are referring to is I believe my Grandfather,. He was married to Sophie Kudla(my grand mother) He died well before i was born from cancer. He worked in the diamond district in NYC i beleive. well anyway I did confirm this with my grandmother sophie who is still alive at 89 Please contact me when you get a chance

Hi everybody, my grand grand father was Federico Eckardt Yohais, he was an engineer, he came to americas to work in Panama interoceanic channel with the french mission(Ferdinand de Lesseps team).

He dies and is buried in Costa Rica. Now his descents live in COlombia. He have one son, Rodolfo Eckardt Mendez, he was the father of my grand father Gabriel Alfredo Eckardt deSales.

I'm interesting to find the Family Roots. I have the Federico's wedding act , He gets married in Estrasburgo, Alsacia (actually French).

I really appreciate if somebody can help me.

Hi. I am looking for information regarding my gg grandmother Matilda Eckardt (or similar spelling). According to the 1865 US Census she was born in 1865 in New York and her parents were both born in Sweden. Matilda was married to Eugene Clason (or Clayson). Matilda died in 1901 in Erie County, NY. If you have any information regarding Matilda and her parents please let me know.

(Koch) Eckardt w/daughter Elsa and son Fred (Fritz) in 1925.
Lived in Corona, Queens County, NY w/my parents Henry and Ella (Koch)Gundel for a while.

All emigrated from Liebenstein, Germany, home of Freida. I believe Reinhold was born in Gossel, Germany in 1886.

I don't recall if we have met or not.
How are you related to Gustav Eckardt?
He was my Grandfather, my mother's name was
Elizabeth and was married to my dad Jacob Tautges.
I paid a researcher a lot of money to do some research
work on Gustav's family. He got me back to the early
1700's. Needless to say I was elated with all of the info.
he found.

I am interested in finding the parentage of Gertrude Eckardt and hopefully any children. She was most probably a resident of Illinois and is most likely deceased now. Her maiden name may have been Hansen and her mother's maiden name may have been Groseth. She was alive in 1974 and visited Hardanger Fjord in Norway that summer. She could be my great-grandmother's (Groseth) daughter's (Hansen) child. Probably grew up in Chicago and was a Lutheran.
