Mrs. James Eckels.
After an illness of two years with cancer of the stomach, Mrs. James Eckels, of West Taylor Township, died at 1:15 o’clock this morning, aged seventy-two years, five months, and thirty days. Funeral services will be conducted in the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, and interment will be made in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Mrs. Eckels is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Joseph Zilkey, Mrs. Elizabeth Bush, and Mrs. David Gordan, all of West Taylor Township. One brother and two sisters also survive, as follows: James Seeley of West Taylor Township; Mrs. Susan Mangus, of the Fourteenth Ward, and Mrs. Amelia Mangus, of Morrellville, Four children preceded her to the grave.
Mrs. Eckels maiden names was Maria Seeley and she was married to James Eckels many years ago.
