I just recently found the date book (birthdays, weddings, daeths, etc) of my great grandmother Christine (Jenny) Eckert. The family (at least her mother and father Julius and Margaret who settled in West Orange, NJ) moved from Germany (I think Darmstadt but not 100%) to New Jersey and New York in the 1850's. In the jorunal there are a number of entries for Eckert's both known and unknown. If any of these are a match please let me know.
