I can't find out anything either. I have William Edward (Edwoard) ECKLES, in W. Baton Rouge Parish, LA by 1845. Land grant documents say 'a married man', but I can't find a wife or the death of a wife, and by 1852 he was married to Marie Aurora Babin, in the Catholic Church. He had 3 very young daughter, all baptized in the Church. A year later, I have his succession. I can't find any death record or burial record.

On his marriage documents, he states his parents' names only as William Eckles and Anne.
