According to the US Gen Web project a Josiah (Joseph?) Eddins married Elizabeth Burton on December 24 1853 in Randolph Co. GA and it just so happens a search of the LDS Family search site turns up a Joseph Eddins marrying Elizabeth Burton on the very same day December 24 1853 only in Barbour Co. AL. this time'I cant help but go hmmm' just though Id mention this and see if anyone knows if these are or arent the same people' for one I know Barbour Co. AL. and Randolph Co. GA were border counties and may even be adjoining from my immediate recollection' Believe me I intend on digging deeper and will resist any temptation to jump to rash conclusions especially since I havent personally seen documentation of either' but I have to admit that is quite a coincidence (if they arent one in the same) but stranger things have happened' I wonder what the chances could be of different states being represented especially considering the counties are on the border?I realize the first names for the man arent identical but I could easily see how Josiah and Joseph could turn out to be one in the same actually isnt Josiah merely an old English version of Joseph?'Also if theres anyone who has info on either one or both of these couples or can draw a distinction between them as not being the same people Id love to chat.
