Ahh... thank you very much for the information. That clears that up.... sort of... lol I decided to google in general concerning Abner Eddings and the Eddings family history. I found that some of them are related to the HUFFMAN family, which our Rowe/Roe family is also.
And then, you mentioned a name that caught my eye, too - Swearingain - was one version of that name possibly SWEARINGEN/SWEARINGIN? If so, there's another connection to my family but oddly, through another line completely that did not connect until about 1905, when my grandfather Jake Roe married Myrtle Armanda TEAGUE.
Sounds like a whole bunch of people, some related, some not - lived nearby each other. Hmm... maybe this was how some of them ended up meeting, one family would have a son as a farm hand on another's land, and the families became close, leading to marriages here and there.
Either way, it did help me concerning Abner. Now I won't have to spend tons of time looking for him in our family tree, only to discover he isn't in there!
