Im trying to find theparents of my Matthias Edel who was born in 1797 in Philadelphia, PA...in the 1880 census, it lists him and say's his parents were from Philadelphia also..I know that back in Germany their name was Von Edel but I cant find Matthias's parents..can anyone help? My Matthias was married to Phoebe Bakeoven..they married before 1833 in Philadelphia..any help would be appreciated.
