Whoever has access to the server has to give me log in permissions so I can download all the pages, or send them to me on disc. Otherwise, it will take forever for me to get it back up online. I don't have the time to copy each page from the internet and then rework all the hyperlinks; that would take months to do.

Hi Christine, Dana, Barbara and Tom,

Bertie Edenfield Hill was my grandmother as well. The last time I saw her (and only time, as an adult) was 2000, when I was visiting Savannah. I know this post is quite old, but if any of you are still active, please contact me at highwaytohill@yahoo.com . I am researching the Hill side of the family and have reached as far back as Civil War Private John W. Hill. Thanks - BJ from Mass.

Supposedly Mary Polly Hammons Edenfield was my ggg grandmother also. My gg grandfather was David Richard Edenfield. I have heard the same stories and attended many of the Edenfield reunions in Lake Butler, FL as a child and young adult with my grandmother Viola Edenfield Vaughn. That was about 30 years ago! I inherited some of the minutes from the reunions and those, like edenfield.org, either does not have much info. or it is conflicting. Double check what you find because I have found that some people are linking the right names but wrong people to our family tree.

She married george wilson edenfield,(she was my ggg grandmother)and had 2 boys in S.C. They moved to florida, he left her, and the 1860 census has her married to Allen Hazel. She is very hard to research, she wasn't mentioned much at family gatherings, but I know that she had some children by Hazel as well. Her oldest son, my gg grandfather, was George William, born abt 1852, he was killed in a runaway wagon wreck in 1886 or 88, can't remember which. her other son was David.
there is a family reunion held at Lake Butler Florida every summer, but I haven't been since I was a child. But it is the descendants of her and George.I haven't been able to find her date of death or where she is buried, though I know from research it is most likely in Bradford county. I also can't seem to find her in south carolina. have you been to edenfield.org? there is very little there on them, but what there is is there, I have been tring to find George, but it's like he vanished from the earth. How are you related?

Rhoda Edenfield abt 1845 Ware County Georgia

I have Rhoda Edenfield b. abt 1845 daughter of George Washington Edenfield & Rebecca Fullwood. They are living in and around Ware Co, GA 1850. She married Samuel Duncan Johnson abt 1861 after the death of his first wife Kezziah C Lee. I find S. D.Johnson and Rhoda Johnson in Baker Co. Fl in 1870 along with Andrew Johnson age 17, Thomas P Johnson age 15, Lavenia age 12 (these three are by the previous marriage to Keziah Lee). Then there are Lucinda age 7, Ellen age 2, and James W. age 2/12. Missing are Samuel Johnson b 1860 by previous marriage and Lemuel Bartow Johnson born 1862. I have searched the 1880 census for these people and only found Andrew, Lavenia, and Thomas living in Pierce Co, GA. Andrew age 25 was head of household and single. I have been unable to find Samuel Duncan or Rhoda nor have I found the children in the 1880 census.I feel that because Lemuel, Lucinda, Ellen, and James W would be young enough in 1880 to still be at home, then perhaps the surname was either misrecorded or unreadable on the 1880 census. Lemuel appeared in the 1900, 1910, 1920 census in Pierce Co. Ga. I have yet to find the others.

So if anyone has information on this family I would certainly appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance,

David
Hope this is timely for you. Maybe you're referring to the Edenfields who lived on farm between Portal & Metter. That was my grandfather, John C.Edenfield; he had 12 children, my father Emmett was the lst. Sept. 19th 2009 there will be a historical marker placed on the cementary grounds, Upper Lot Creek Cemetary. My grandfather donated the land for it. We've recently heard there will be ceremony. You're welcome to attend. Please let me know if you can attend.

Your Edenfield family did they originate from Georiga? I' looking for a Rebecca Ann Copeland from SC that married an Edenfield. They lived in Georgia. She was born 1865 and died 1884 after a fire she inhaled to much smoke. Have you heard of this family?

This is ugly but its happening. Google the name George Edenfield or David or Peggy Edenfield along with the name barrios . David, Peggy and their son George are in jail awaiting murder trials .....If my research is correct David is the son of Homer Edenfield

"George Edenfield" + Barrios If you google it like that it will bring up the news items on the event.

Hii from Texas. I am researching the Edenfields. This has been a zigzag through my ancestors in Texas to John Edenfield in Florida whose father was David Edenfield of South Carolina revolutionary times. I need to link David to his father Thomas with a will, deed, legal document, or any book type proof. There is much evidence but proof has been scarce. I would appreciate any help and other information about this family in general.
Very sincerely,
Ann McDougal

I 'm looking for information on Harry Edenfield m. to Agnes Summerlin. Children were Jacob, Lester, Lillie, L.M., and Lewis. Shortly before he died my uncle told my mother that their father, Jake who went by the name Phillips was actually an Edenfield and the son of Harry and Agnes. The boys had stolen livestock during the Depression and had changed their names and left for Jacksonville, Fl. to avoid prosecution. The 1910-1930 census confirms the Edenfield names. I would greatly appreciate any information that may help me get more information as my mother is elderly and curious.
