Hello, I am also an Edes descendant. My Edes line comes from Essex county, England. My earliest ancestor is from the 1500's. One of my ancestors was a Rev. John Edes from Lawford,Essex,England,and a graduate of St. Johns College,Cambridge,England. In mid 1600s my Edes family came to Charlestown,Massachusetts,USA. I have found that different branches of my Edes family have spelt their name various ways. Even in England I have seen it spelt Edes or Eades within the same family. I would like to exchange information with anyone researching their Edes roots.
