Just wondering if anyone on this message board has tracked any of your Edes folks down south to western NC area and to possible name spelling changes to Eades/Eads? I'm tracking my great-grandfather John Eades/Eads and two of his brothers Alfred and William Franklin who all fought in the Civil War, Alfred and W.F. for the Confederates and John for the Union sides. Imagine that family feud! Can't really get back past about 1800 with these folks and don't know where they came from before NC. (Later went to TN and ended up in Missouri by 1870 census). Thanks, and will share if anyone might think we're chasing the same line...Thanks!
