I may be able to give you sources on your Athens, TN Edgemon ancestors. I have done some research and so have a number of other people who have kindly given me much data. My mother was born in Athens. Her grandfather was Thomas Kimball Edgemon, Jr. If your ancestor was from Athens, there must be a connection somewhere. Let me know if you want further information.
