I am searching for any links to the following family:
John Walter Edgeman, married Serene Julia White. They had the following children.
Jim Winifred Edgeman who married a Winfred Guthrie
Elma Doloris Edgeman who married a Edward Marion Barnes.
Jim went to San Francisco, had two children, Ronald and Judy. I think Judy married a Breese.
Unsure who Ronald married.
Doloris also moved to the city of Empire, Ca. and she had several children.
They possibly originated in the Ar. Mo. area before the late 1890's. Both sets of parents are deceased, but would like to find descendants or any info on ancestors. Thanks for reading,
Carole
cjohnson@ctaz.com

This might help someone--not related.

From the Daily Ardmoreite published in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma.

Sunday, March 26, 1916

Eight Victims of Wind Storm in Murray County
Davis, March 25-- Members of the family of ALEX EDGMON were killed in a storm which swept across a section of Murray County some 3 or 4 miles east of here last night shortly after 9 p.m. The storm moved in a northeasterly direction accompanied by a heavy fall of rain and hail.

ALEX EDGMON, head of the family, escaped death, having gone to see after his stock when the tornado struck the home which was a box house. The victims are: MRS. ALEX EDGMON 50, ALONZO EDGMON 18, SAM EDGMON 14, PETE EDGMON 30, MRS. PETE EDGMON and two children of Mr. and Mrs. PETE EDGMON, and MRS. HANNAH THOMAS, age 80, mother of MRS. ALEX EDGMON, who was totally blind.

The family of REV. H. D. LOW escaped injury although their home was demolished, the family having taken refuge in the storm house. Several other farm houses in the path of the storm were destroyed… Nearly Chigley, L. O. FRANKLIN and wife were both injured, Mr. Franklin sustaining a broken arm and leg.

A little girl of the young Edgmons was visiting at the home of a neighbor at the time of the storm and escaped. The bodies of the eight victims were brought to Davis today and will be interred here tomorrow in one grave at the Davis cemetery.
