Frederick Edler/Edeler in Hanover

I'm looking for any information on Frederick Edler and his son, also Frederick, both shoemakers. Frederick the younger was b.1818 Hanover but by 1851 was living in England. His father is named on his marriage certificate but I haven't managed to find him in the English census so I believe he stayed in Germany. Other than this father's name and profession I have no other information. Really stuck so any suggestions of what to do next or where to look would be greatly appreciated.<br>

I don't think your great grandfather was related. My grandfather, Oscar Valentine Edeler, was born in WI in 1888. The family always lived there until moving to SD in 1923. Don't give up! There is always a chance. The word edeler was a title in Germany. I have tracked back to Johann Christof Edeler born in Hanover Germany (Prussia). His son was born in 1787 and there I am stuck. The best part of this is that we could have our tree join way back there someplace. Some ways I hope that grandfather of yours was a rustler! The stories are the best part of this. Good luck hunting! Sharon Simmons

My great grandfather's name was Oscar Edler, from what I understand he came from out west as a cattle rustler....anyway that's what I was told. He then moved to Lycoming county in Pennsylvania and had 2 sons and a daughter......Monty, Ray and Hazel. If you have any info. that could link these together or anything that sounds familiar , contack me. I am just starting on my search. Thanks.
