And Hello Back!!! It's so nice to know the Edmerson name has not died out. My husband's mother, Mabel L. and her brother Raymond were born to Henry & Estina Edmerson in Austin, TX. His mother insisted that he have Edmerson in his name because the name was dying out. So, he is Lewis Jefferson Edmerson Overton - frequently referred to as "LJ".
Lewis moved to San Francisco, from Austin, in 1958. His Uncle, Raymond Edmerson, died 5 years ago, but his widow "Eugenia" is still "kicking but not high" at 91 years in Sunnyside, WA. Raymond was a plutonium expert, and creator of the "fast flux reactor" at the Hanford Plant in WA. Both Raymond and Eugenia worked at Hanford from 1954 and retired around 1986. So, I think your capacity to be a doctor is well established, as an Edmerson!
