There is a great deal of Edrington material in volumes one and two of LEAVES OF A STUNTED SHRUB BY William G Scroggins. These volumes are available at lulu.com.

If you can share Edrington material with me, I would be grateful. Specifically, I am looking for the children and descendants of two Edringtons couples: (1) Elizabeth Bohannon Cook and second husband, Joseph Morris Edrington, who were married on June 4, 1793 in Woodford County KY. (2) Elizabeth Edrington widow of Hosea Cook (d. 1792).

Thanks for any help. cookrb1@gmail.com

His biological name is Pathol/Pathel, unsure of spelling. He is currently married to Melinda Ann Little Edrington and has two daughters; Monica Ann and Taylor Renee.

David was married to my sister Yvonna Christine Creek and had a son named David Warren Edrington. After divorcing our families moved to Texas and my nephew David Warren has not had contact with his father for about fifteen years.

We are searching for David Lee Edrington in an attempt for my nephew to make contact with his father. I have also been working on our family tree and would like to include the Edrington/Pathol/Pathel lineage.

Any and all help or information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to assume that it's P, because his son is John Price Edrington Jr. I've been looking for official documentation, but cannot find in either KY or VA records that he owned land or appeared in any birth, marriage, or death records. His brother Lawrence (known as Burl) and sister Patsy are both deceased. I don't do geneology but I do have a little information. I don't know much about my Edrington ancestors prior to Earl.
If I can be helpful email me at haledrington@gmail.com. I will be happy to exchange the information I have so far.

I was interested to discover that Sarah Bogard, who married Robert Faith and then Nathan Pettet, was living with the widow of John Edrington, son of Silas and Fannie (Cascerene Fisher Edrington) in Gibson County in 1850 with all her children, in addition, she was listed under the name of Sarah Sanders, which may indicate she was married again after Nathan Pettet died. However, I am trying to tie the Faith/Bogard family in with the Edringtons, since they were living together.

Earl Templeton Edrington married to Mildred ---->

I am a descendant of the Edrington family through my great great grandmother Nancy Edrington, daughter of Silas Edrington of Warrick County Indiana. Nancy married Ransom Sinclair of Orange County Indiana, and died in July 1882 outside of Cannelton, in Perry County Indiana from dropsy (heart failure).

I have been researching the Edrington line, and I have a copy of Earl T. Edrington's death certificate. Earl was married to Mildred (maiden name unknown at this point) and the father of Lawrence, Patsy and Harold Edrington.

Earl died in Tucson Arizona, Pima County, on October 13, 1936 from Tuberculosis. He did not drown. According to the death cert, Earl had the disease for many years, and perhaps that is why the family was in Arizona during the later part of Earl's life. Earl was a bridge builder (construction engineer) and traveled all over the United States.

I found Mildred and Earl's daughter, Patsy, working in Phoenix as a telephone operator in 1947-1948. She was living at 3511 Taylor Street.

I am looking for more information on the Edrington family. Thanks!

1926 marriage announcement online: ISMAY - EDRINGTON, England

Hi,

I just posted an old marriage announcement for G. Bruce ISMAY and Florence EDRINGTON, who were to be married on June 1, 1926.
This was scanned from an original issue (NOT microfilm!) of the The Morning Post newspaper (London, England) dated May 15, 1926, and you can see it online here:

http://theoldentimes.com/ismayedrington26uk.html

I hope it's helpful!

Barbara
http://theoldentimes.com/marriages.htm
http://theoldentimes.com
Nancy A. Edrington b. 1840-41 to Silas Edrington/Elizabeth Fisher >>

Nancy A. Edrington is my great great grandmother on my father's side.

I am searching for information regarding Nancy A. Edrington's marriage to Ransom Sinclair April 1857 in Orange County.

Nancy A. Edrington b. 1840-41 and died July 25, 1882 in Perry County Indiana. Parents: Silas Edrington of Prince William VA and Elizabeth Fisher of Franklin County KY. 1850 census Hart Twp Warrick County Indiana.

Nancy and Ransom had the following children: Elizabeth b. 1860, Mary b. 1862, Susan b. 1865, William S. b. 1869, McLelland b. 1871, James A. b. 1873 and another Mary b. 1878 (all dates are within one year). 1870 census shows the family living in Harrison Twp, Daviess County Indiana working on someone's farm and the 1880 census shows the family renting a farm in Perry County, Union Twp. After 1882 the family has disappeared but I know William eventually turns up in Crawford County Indiana in the 1890s because he married Martha E. Sigler there in 1893. The Sinclairs are the Orange County/Crawford County Sinclairs from Patoka Lake area and West Baden/French Lick.

William Silas Sinclair, son of Nancy and Ransom is my great-grandfather.

I am missing information regarding Ransom and the rest of the children. What happened to them...

Any information, please email me. Thank you!

I am so excited. I can't believe that I found someone looking into my family. Simeon is my great-grandfather, and Dora Adeline Fullerton was his wife. My grandpa, their son, was Ernest Claude Edrington, and his wife was Ruth Evelyn Williamson. My papa died in 1981 in Fort Worth, Texas, and my granny died in 2004 in Denton, Tx. I have been trying to research our family, and I kept getting stuck with Sim and Dora. It was as if they didn't exist. Can you tell me more about them, and their relatives. I hope some of this helped you. Sim's middle name was Reason, and I believe he was b orn in Yalabusha County, Mississippi, and Dora was born in Searcy County, Arkansas. Sincerely, Robin Edrington-Lathan

Marion & Belle (Edrington) Simmons are residing near to G.H.R. Eddington in the 1880 Lee Co. Ms. census. G.H.R. has a son "Simcon" age 3. This suggests that Ida Belle & Simyon Edrington were the children of G.H.R. & Irene Eddington (Edrington). G.H.R. (born c.1835 Ms.) might be George, age 16, b. Ms., listed in the 1850 Itawamba Co. Ms. census with his parents Daniel & Malinda Edington (Edrington). Note that Lee Co. was formed from parts of Itawamba Co. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss further - Bill Cheatham (wtcheatham@aol.com)

Hi Sarah,

We must be related! Aunt Patsy is my dad's only sister. I saw her several years ago in Cabool Mo. At that time we also traveled to another part of the state to visit Uncle Harold and Aunt Joy. Is that your Grandma? I was thinking they had retired there. There was also Great Aunt Eva in Cabool who was grandma Mildred's sister. Is any of this sounding familiar? Please email me back. I have another email that I reserve for family. It's crazyancestors@aol.com I would love some help putting our family tree together. There is so much I don't know. I am the 49 year old daughtrer of Uncle Harold's brother Burl Edrington.

Thanks so much for replying to that old post. There aren't a lot of Edringtons out there. Your dad must be my first cousin.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Sharon Edrington-Long
Burleson, Texas

Yes she's buried near Clarksville, Tx. Red River co. The family lived in precinct 3 and Downy road in 1900 census. I've been told by researchers in that area that there is a Downy church, about 9 miles west of Clarksville , on the Fulbright road. There may be a cemetery near that church.
She died three weeks after childbirth in Feb. 1900. We know nothing of her family other than her brother Uncle Sim or Simyon Edrington. She married in Tueplo , Miss. and we have her born in Alabama ?

Elizabeth, Hello. This Edrington tree comes from Wayles and Scotland. Christopher Edrington. There is a castle on the border of Scotland and Wayles. Not much of a castle left, just a large rock house. From South Carolina then to Virginia and finally in 1777 showed up in Kentucky. George Edrington. After the Civil War, my line moved to Texas where I am the great granddaugher. Extensive tree. Important note: There are several lines stemming from the Kentucky tree as several of the Kentucky Edrington brothers joined both Union and Conf. There were five brothers and two sisters, all left Ky, some went to Illoinis, some to California, Texas and Arkansas. Happy hunting!!
