My maiden name is Edwins. I always heard the name was changed and all ancestors were from Orangeburg Co. SC. My father is Rallie Cotrell Edwins from Harrison Co. MS. His father was Raleigh Clifton Edwins and spouse was Mary Ruth.

My mother was born in Orangeburg S.C. in early 1930's to Thomas and Violet Edwins. Do you know of any relations?

Debbie, Do you know if William O. Bozard change his name to Edwins? Was his wife's full name Annie Cornelia Hughes?
I recently came across information in my family tree that my great grandfather had a baby sister name Cornelia Hughes and she married Willie Edwins. The family's pet name for her was Aunt Neal. She and Wilie were about the same age. Any light you can share on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

all i can tell you is that my fathers name is richard elliott edwins and that his fathers name was clarence elliott edwins.
i have always heard that we originated from orangeburg,but my grandfather and father were raised in clinton,sc. my grandfather was born in the late 1920's or early 30's.

Martin CALHOUN (Bozard) Edwins (1892-1946) not Martin Oliver (Bozard) Edwins m. Ida Elizabeth Miller (1866-1942). Both of them are buried in Sunnyside Cemetery in Orangeburg, SC.
