Looking for information on the family of Festus Egan born in Yorkshire, England about Jan 1839. He is the son of John Egan born about 1811 and Catherine McNeal born about 1816, both of Ireland. His siblings were Patrick, Mary Ann, John E., Elizabeth, Catherine, and Samuel.

At age 19 Festus and his 5 younger siblings (Mary Ann 15, John E. 10, Elizabeth 8, Catherine 6, and Samuel 2)arrived in Boston, MA on October 1858 from Liverpool, England aboard the ship Richard Morse of Bath. Festus lived in North Providence, Rhode Island and then Newton, MA.

He married Bridget T. Egan, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 1847. She was the daughter of Dennis Egan and Elizabeth McCarthy of Ireland.
