Elijah's marriage to Marian Mary Davis abt 1877
is still a bit of a mystery to me.

I think Marian Davis is daughter of James E Davis
and Julia Davis. She appears in 1870 WY census as nine
yr old born in Ireland
Julia, her mother, died in 1870's and James E remarried
Anna. I see a Marion "Davies" in 1880 Census listed with the family as a daughter, and single..
In the same year, 1880, I find Elijah Eagan in Montana census listed as married, but no Marian appears in Montana.
So, I am wondering if they were married..and Marian was home with Dad and step-mom, while Elijah was working in
Montana.
I am waiting on death certificate on Marian Eagan (Davis)
to hopefully confirm that her parents were Julia and James.
All other info seems to fit (birth place, date, etc..)
Any advice or other info you have on Marian Davis, wife of Elijah would be appreciated
