Surnames: Eggerstedt, Eggersdat, Greve, Coghlan
I am looking for any information on Claus Eggerstedt. He came to Australia from Hanover, Germany about 1856. He was fourteen years of age when he arrived. His parents where Benedict Eggerstedt and
Anna Greve. Claus married Annie Coghlan and had James Henry , Kate and Mary. He died in an horse and cart accident in 1878.
I would like to find out if he had any brothers or sisters.
The spelling of Eggerstedt changed over the years and my mothers maiden name was spelt Eggersdat.
I hope someone can help as I am just starting to research my mothers side of the family.
