On 8 Nov. 1877 in Pulaski Co, IN., August married Marie Dorothea Louise KROFT, b. 9 May 1857 in Indiana to Johann Carn Heinrich KROFT/KRAFT (b. 16 Mar 1831) and Maria Friedricka Sophia FREITAG (b 16 Mar 1835).
