Many German church records (Kirchenbuchs) were microfilmed by the Nazis in the 1930s and then the LDS church continued the process of microfilming these records. The microfilms are available for viewing at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City or at your local LDS church Family History Center. To view the film at the local center, you do need to pay a rental fee. Of course, the records are in German, handwritten, often hard to read. But they are also a gold mine for the researcher. I suggest that you visit your local center and learn about what they have and their processes. You do not have to be a member of the Morman church to use these facilties.
Records from Borchersdorf and Friedland are available, you can check the catalogue at https://familysearch.org/#form=catalog
. I am not sure about the name of your grandmother's birthplace.
Hope this helps.
