Re: Louis Ehlers family in Milwaukee's German newspapers?

I've indexed over 200 entries of the Ehlers name in the collection "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items", covering 1844-1950. I don't show a Louis in the current data, but multiple entries for a Louise/Louisa and a Heinrich. Other possible matches include a Louisa Kracht and Anna Fetzer? There are also Ellis entries.
Indexing started in 2007 and continues today. Contact me directly for specific entries. gary.rebholz@gmail.com

Heinrich "Henry" Ehlers b. 9/11/1857 m. Christina Wulf, is my great-great grandfather, sadly I'm stuck exactly where everyone else is... No one seems to be quite sure of who his parents are and where he was born. I've tried reaching out to family for help, but the last of his grandchildren have passed on within the last 2 years. Hoping that my Uncle who works for the family company will be able to find out some info. Will gladly share if anything useful info is obtained.

She was my husband's paternal grandmother. If you by any chance are interested in additional information on this line, please let me know. Jean Evers

Louise and Cord Ehlers New York

I am looking for the whereabout of Louise Dohris Ehlers from her birh in Manhattan on 5 July 1885 to Carl Richard (Cord) Ehlers and his wife Johanne Louise Stumcke Ehlers. up until she was listed as Louise Schott, a Widow, in the 1920 census living in the Bronx with her 7 month old son Gus Schott, her mother and step-father. I know she married a Douglas Seabright in 1920, had a daughter Harriett in 1921 and in the 1930 Ceusus was living in Burgen County, New Jersey. I loose track of her after that again. I believe she married again after Douglas Seabright, but I am not sure. Any infomation on Louise, Douglas, Gus or Harriett is appreciated!
I am also looking to find out what happened to her father, Cord (Carl) Richard Ehlers. He was born about 1849 in Germany, came to the US about 1873 and was naturlized in 1892. He is in the 1892 New York Census living in Brooklyn with Wife Johanne and children Herman, Louisa, Richard and William. I can't seem to locate him after that. I know that by 1909 his wife was married to a Joseph Weikel in New York City. I can't seem to find Cord or his death after the 1892 census. Any help with locating them would be apprecated. Thanks for your time. Leah Hufford Bird

I am looking for any more information on Louise Ehlers Schott Seabright. She was born about 1886 in New York City. Her mothers name was Jennie, father's first name unknown. In the 1920 census she was living with her mother and step-father, Joseph Weikel in the Bronx, New York. She was listed as Louise Schott, a widow with a 7 month old son, Gustave. She married later that year to Douglas Seabright and had a daughter, Hariett, in 1921. They moved to Rutherford, New Jersey by 1930. I can't seem to find Louise before 1920 and I am trying to trace the Schott line. Any help is appreciated. I also can't find her death and place.
Katherine Dorothea Margaretha Ehlers

She was born 11-Nov-1838, Dannau, S/H Germany, the d/o Hinrich Christian Ehlers and Dorothea Susana Langfeldt. She married Joachim Otto Bunning. Before that she may have married a Stohbehn and perhaps another Bunning. She died 14-Jan-1911, Woodbury Co.IA. and is buried there as is her mother and sister, Julianna Catherine Dorothea Ehlers (I believe she married an Ehlers). The 1845 Dannau census has Katherine's mother as Charlotte Louise and on the 1840 as Charlotte Susane. Correction, additions welcome.

I find Hans Ehlers (born about 1827 in Germany) and his wife Olive living in Yreka, Siskiyou County, California in 1870 census. They were married there in 1868. Olive was married first to John Lytle CUMMINS, then to George CHILDS, then to EHLERS. I'd like to know where they went after 1870. I don't seem to find them in 1880. Any help here appreciated.
I'm looking for any further information on the above referenced "Ehlers" - this is all I have:

He was born in Stuer, Mecklenburg Schwerin abt 1820. He married Sophia Frederica Bell (1822 - 1907) They had one daughter, Friederike Sophia Bell (1842 - 1907) His wife (SF Bell) remarried F. Lehmann and had their first child abt 1849 - so I'm assuming that LD Ehlers died sometime before. All of the children for either were also born in Germany - but some died in Kossuth County IA.

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Brandon W Erikson
