Jacob Ehli info

I have been looking for information on the parents of Jacob Ehli. There are a few Jacobs so here is what I have on my Great Great Grandfather Jacob Ehli. He came to the US in 1892 with his son Raphael and wife Francis Weber. Jacob was born in Sulz, Russia 03-06-1858 and died 09-03-1939 in Dickinson North Dakota. I believe he had two other sons by the name of Carl and Martin. I have found some conflicking info on his father. I believe his name was Martin but have found no Martin Ehli's with a son Jacob. Also, I was told by my father before he died (2001 Robert C. Ehli) that our name was spelled Ehly and got changed sometime back. Anybody have any info reguarding Jacob and the name change please let me know. You can email me at dehli@cox.net if you prefer.

My grandmother, Kathryn Ehli (b. 1910) is still living in North Dakota! Her parents were Thomas Ehli (1884-1918) and Regina Heiser (1884-died in the 1970's--I can get the date confirmed if any one is interested). Her parents were Germans from Russia.

My grandmother, Kathryn Ehli, married my grandfather, John N. Ternes on October 27, 1927.

Amy, you have posted your query on this particular message board, which is the message board for people looking for information specifically about people whose last name was Ehli. But according to your query, Norbert's last name was Nick, and Anna's last name was Valenti. Where does the last name Ehli come into it?
I am the grandaughter of Joseph Ehli. He came from Sulz Russia in 1920 with his wife Eva and his parents Philipp and Katherine and twin brother Jacob. They homesteaded in Prelate, Saskatchewan Canada, had relatives in North Dakota and eventually went to Oregon. My mother says she remembers a Nick Ehli who visited from North Dakota.I have little info prior to my grandparents except a few names. If you have any info you think may be useful it would be appreciated.
Thanks
