Looking for a genealogy of this famous New York City Brewing family. Our NYC brewing families intermarried (Ruppert-Ehret) and I would like to learn more of the George Ehret, Sr. descendants. I have learned that it is primarily under the BURGHARD patronym now as George Ehret Jr. had no children. I do not know if Louis J. Ehret Jr. and George Ehret, grandsons to the brewer, ever had male children. My 2nd great grandaunt, Eliza Ruppert (sister of Jacob Ruppert, Sr., the next-door brewer to Ehret) married John B. Hasslocher Jr, the brother of Anna Hasslocher, aka "Mrs. George Ehret, Sr." Eliza in buried in the first Ehret gravesite in Calvary Cemetery in Queens County NYC. Her husband John remarried into the Diehl-Stehlin families (brewers) and is buried next to the bohemouth Ehret Mausoleum in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx County NYC.

George Ehret Sr had 6 surviving children: Baroness Anna M. von Zedlitz, George Ehret Jr., Louis J. Ehret, Josephine Burghard, Elizabeth G. Conly and Madeleine Ottman.

The Burghard's still hold the deed to the Ehret Mausoleum and in 1963 Frederick Burghard and George Ehret Burghard and Edward M. Burghard Jr. (Josephine's children) were alive. They had a sister, Anna H. von Bauer.
