William Albert Bill Ehrig, 61, of 2314 River Rd., Elberton, Ga., husband of Sandra Marie (Evans) Ehrig, died Sunday, July 11, 2004. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late William James Ehrig and Carrie Margaret (DeWalt) Ehrig Weaver. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Elberton, where he was lay president. He was a lieutenant commander in the Navy before retiring. He taught adult literacy classes for Athens (Ga.) Technical College. He was a member of the Naval Association of Retired Officers and the Humane Society. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Jessica Marie (Ehrig) Lamkin of Elberton; sister, Connie May Swert of West Chester; two grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. today, July 15, in the church, with Dr. J. Donald Elam officiating. Burial, Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton. The U.S. Navy will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements, Berry Funeral Home, Elberton.
