I am researching Eich ancestry and have reached a point at which I am stuck. I am at Peter Eich married to Mary Shertz(Schertz). The census records tell me Peter is born in Germany around 1855 and arrived in US around 1870. Not a single census I have found lists his father or mothers name. They do all say both parents were from Germany.

I have been searching immigration records and the only ones I find that have a Peter entering the US at that time with that birthdate say he was with parents Joseph and Rosina Eich. Every search I have done for either of them comes up with nothing at all. I dont even know if these are the correct parents for him.

If anyone has information or is researching the same lineage I would love to share information.
