My great-grandfather, Herman Eichele, moved to central North Dakota from Odessa Russia in the early 1900s. His father, John Eichele, came to North Dakota a few years later and then moved to live with one of his daughters in Canada. Eventually he moved back to live with Herman until his death in the 1920s.
