Hello,

I am in general researching family coat of arms which contain a charge of crescent in form of "man faced moon", f.ex. family Eichholz has such http://www.houseofnames.com/xq/asp.c/qx/Aicholtz-coat-arms.h...

Man faced crescent is a extreemly rare charge in Europeen heraldry. I've found only about 20 cases and they all are from old german speaking areas.

My question is that if you know something about the meaning of this old and rare heraldic motif I would be deligted to hear you.

Thank You
