George Eichinger/Anna Schofhauser

I am trying to find any information related to a George Eichinger that immigrated to the US in 1910. He left Europe from Bremen Germany. His Declaration of Intentions states that he was born in Denta Hungary in 1885. He had no contact with the rest of his family after leaving Europe. We believe his father was John Eichinger (Eichner) and his mother was Magdalena Dilk.

George was married to Anna Schofhauser (Schoff or Schaff) from Slovenia /Yugoslavia, of which I have more information. She had 8 brothers & sisters remaining in Yugoslavia/Croatia and kept in contact with them. Her parents were Ferenc (Franz) and Ilka Mika (Helen) and they lived in Hungary and Yugoslavia.

Appreciate any information.

Carl Eichinger newspaper obituary Kentucky and/or Indiana circa early 1960s

***SPECIAL NOTE*** Please note that I am not related to any of these people, but have run across several newspaper articles and such that my grandfather collected from the 1950's and 1960's. He was born and lived his entire life in Shelby County, Indiana, and most deal with Shelby County, but there are articles from other papers, too. While I am unsure of the fate of these clippings and such (would like to give to a historical or genealogical group), I thought the least I could do was post the articles that I can positively date, in case they were of any genealogical interest to anyone. Hope someone finds this information useful.

The following item is from the back of a newspaper clipping about vice presidents. Unfortunately it is very, very small and there is no way to identify the paper positively, and it is nearly impossible to date. It was with a stack of clippings ranging in dates from 1959 to 1962, and mostly Indianapolis and Louisville papers. I can date the month to early August. I think this paper is either Indianapolis, Louisville or New Albany.

EICHINGER - Carl Eichinger, beloved husband of Mary, nee Rubendunst; fond father of Carl John; father-in-law of Mildred; fond son of Theresa; brother of Mary and John of Austria. Resting at funeral home, 8400 S. Ashland avenue, where services will be held Monday Aug 8, at 1:30 p.m. Interment Mount Greenwood cemetery.
