I checked with my grandfather about Martin and Hattie. He didn't know about Martin and referred to Hattie's husband as Dean, who had all his upper teeth gold capped.
Hattie was Dean's wife - most Christian woman ever knew. Very outstanding and honorable in the community.
They had two sons: Jack who lived in Tama, sold cars. There was another son who was married and lived east of Grinnell and farmed.
