I work at the Old Courthouse Museum in Watseka, IL and came across 1931 Iroquois County Times Extra about the trial of Nolia for the death of her husband, Joseph. The articles lists the children as: Winifred (Perrigo), Bonita (Laird), Gerald, Dorothy (Bellanger) and Edna. Nolia was aquitted of her husband's death. It was stated in the article that 2 of her children, Gerald and Edna supported her and the others thought she killed her husband.
My interest is in the events leading to the trail, the trail and any information that you could give me after the trial. How the family felt about the aquittal, what happened to the family afterwards, etc. I have lived in Milford, IL all my life and knew nothing of this until I saw the article.
Hope the little bit I gave you helps you.
