I am Wilma Herzog, my maiden name is Eis, I live in Gerolstein, where my family lived ever since. My grandfather was Karl Eis, the brother of Jacob Eis, who emigrated to the USA, who lived in Chicago.
Twice he came over by ship to visit my family here in Gerolstein.
Jacob was my fathers godfather, I have pictures of him and of his house in Chicago. I also have pictures of his sister Margarethe Eis, who also emigrated to Chicago, where she died at the age of 31.
